I agree to abide by the rules and by-laws of the Baytown Recreational Umpires Association (BRUA). I

acknowledge that I have been given a copy of said rules and By-laws, have read and understand them.

I agree that the BRUA is not responsible for any injury or loss occurring from my participation and

membership with BRUA, including any injuries suffered performing umpiring duties. I agree to hold

BRUA harmless for any loss, cost, liability, or expense arising out of my participation and membership

with BRUA. I also represent that I am an independent contractor with respect to any services I may

perform for payment, or gratis, while a member of or while representing BRUA. Nothing herein shall

be construed to make me an employee of BRUA. I understand that as an independent contractor, I am

solely responsible for payment of all income or other taxes, contributions or insurance premiums,

Workers Compensation or other statutory or optional costs related to providing services for payment. I
